TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS PUBLISHED 23rd February 2023
Acceptance of an estimate, delivery of the vehicle to L&M Classics or payment of a deposit will be taken as acceptance of the following terms and conditions. Please ensure you have read and fully understand the following:
1. All vehicles are left at the customer’s own risk. The customer must ensure that the appropriate insurance is always in place whilst the repair/restoration work is undertaken at L&M Classics workshop, as only limited cover is in place for customers’ vehicles. NO liability will be accepted by L&M Classics, or its proprietors, for any loss or damage to customers’ vehicles, however caused.
2. L&M Classics and its proprietors accept no responsibility for any personal items left in the vehicle whilst the repair/restoration is carried out.
3. Estimates supplied by L&M Classics are valid for 60 days from the date of the estimate unless otherwise agreed.
4. Due to the comprehensive nature of the restoration process it can be difficult to determine an exact estimation of the job cost, as often there can be unforeseen work found that we cannot initially account for. Any additional works not included in the original estimate will be subject to a further estimate before the work is carried out.
5. Any additional work requested by the customer during, or on completion of, the restoration, which is not included in the original estimate, will be subject to a further estimate.
6. Any deposit agreed upon must be paid prior to any work being started. If the deposit is not paid within 30 days of the vehicle being delivered to L&M Classics then L&M Classics reserve the right to charge a storage fee, currently set at £20.00 per day unless otherwise agreed.
7. For large restorations stage payments will be required. Failure to meet these payments will result in work being halted with L&M Classics then reserving the right to charge a storage fee currently set at £20.00 per day.

8. L&M Classics uses modern, high quality products and sealants to assist in postponing future corrosion issues. Under no circumstances do L&M Classics or its proprietors give any warranty/guarantee against, or accept responsibility for, any future corrosion.
9. Classic car restoration is a time consuming process and under no circumstances will L&M Classics be rushed, whereby the quality or standard of the work may be compromised.
10.It is a strict company policy that, once all works have been completed, any outstanding invoices must be paid in full before the vehicle leaves the premises.
11.If after 14 days from the final invoice being raised the vehicle has still not been paid for and collected, L&M Classics reserves the right to charge a storage fee, currently set at £20.00 per day unless otherwise agreed.
12.If the final invoice has not been settled in full after 21 days L&M Classics or its proprietors may, after giving 7 days notice in writing, sell the vehicle and deduct the outstanding invoice amount, plus any storage charges and costs of sale, and pay the balance to the owner of the vehicle unless otherwise agreed.
Should the sale of the vehicle achieve less than the outstanding invoice amount L&M Classics or its proprietors will then pursue the payment of the outstanding debt through legal action.
13. L&M Classics or its Proprietors accept no responsibility for damage to vehicle glass while removing it or refitting it during restoration.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SUPERCEDE ANY PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED TERMS AND CONDITIONS. L&M CLASSICS AND/OR ITS PROPRIETORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MODIFY OR AMEND THEM AS AND WHEN APPROPRIATE.
